GMT+2) The focus of this session is on the use of traffic
simulation, track alignment, and overhead line design methods and
tools being used in the reconstruction of the Malmö Central
Station in Sweden. The project will transform the current
terminal station, where all trains must turn around, into a
modern transit station providing through-traffic for the newly
built tunnel under Malmö City. Project challenges include
the need to perform this expansion while the station is in
operation, a very tight time schedule, and limited access to
operating tracks.
